rj quiche

in the flurry of emails...i found one from a friend, a recipe. which she emailed sometime back after a session of msning. then she had to stop her msning with me coz..uhmmm she had to prepare dinner, which was wat else- the quiche! before she logged off, i sempat ask her for the recipe.

i shall call it the RJ Quiche. i suppose this must be quite as authentic as one can get..

and before i have it lost in the inbox, thought i copy her email here:

" rj's quiche

- buy a ready made tart base (its suppose to be feuillette, meaning crusty, not the crumbly type for sweet tarts..you can buy it at the french supermarket in Suntec right...at the cold foods dept..near the cheeses and cream..it comes in a long baton like packaging.

arrange it on a pie mould

- to prepare the filling, buy cream fraiche, also from the same dept...its normally 500ml, you only need half of it

- 3 eggs

- fromage rapée ..dont know how we call it in english..but its shredded cheese ...buy from the same dept...in the cold cheeses and cream dept...just
a handful will do )

mix all with a beater, with some salt and pepper

- salmon, cut into small cubes

- one big red pepper, cut into cubes

- one big tomato, cut into cubes

- one leek, cut into small pieces

so mix all this into the batter

pour all into the mould of base.

put into oven, 180 degrees for 35 minutes.
eat it with rocket salad on the side.

take photo and show me ok"
